West Indies tour of South Africa Update-2

 Look at the few significant milestones in West Indies Vs South Africa Match on 18th Jan 2014


*AB de Villiers broke the record for the fastest ODI Hundred. de Villiers broke New Zealand's Corey Anderson's (36 balls) record against West Indies in Queenstown in 2014. smashing a century off just 31 deliveries.  In all List A games also this 100 is quickest

* 16 Balls in which De Villiers got to his fifty, another world record. overtaking Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya, who held the previous record, scoring 50 off 17 deliveries against Pakistan in 1996.


16  sixes hit by De Villiers, equaling the world record for the most 6's in an ODI innings, by Indian Batsman Rohit Sharma during his innings of 209 against Australia in 2013.

AB de Villiers' Batting strike rate of 339 was the first instance of a batsman scoring 100+ with a 300-plus strike-rate.

40 Minutes in which De Villiers got to his hundred. He needed only 19 minutes to reach his fifty.

 

Three South African batsmen - Amla, Rossouw and de Villiers - registered centuries in the same innings the first time in an ODI. Amla scored an unbeaten 153, Rossouw scored 128 and De Villiers smashed a 44-ball 149.
 

439/2 is South Africa's highest total in ODIs. Their previous best was 438/9 against Australia in 2006 at the same venue.

South Africa's total of 439 was the second highest in ODI history after Sri Lanka's 443 against Netherlands.
